Description
Trade in goods includes all goods which add to, or subtract from, the stock of material resources of St Vincent and the Grenadines by entering its economic territory (imports) or leaving it (exports). Merchandise trade statistics are compiled using the “Special Trade” system. The statistics are compiled from customs warrants submitted to the Customs and Excise Department, utilizing the Automated System for Customs Data (ASYCUDA World). Merchandise trade statistics is used to analyse economic trends, engage in trade negotiations, implement trade policies and identify market opportunities.
